You’ll find me set up at my little table (think artist’s nook meets VIP lounge), snapping quick, flattering photos of your guests as they arrive, all dressed up and ready to celebrate.

Then, while they’re off sipping champagne, making memories and tearing up the dance floor, I’m painting their portraits behind the scenes.

Meet Claire…

I’m an ex-primary school teacher who has finally decided life is too short to live an ordinary life.

After 20 years of teaching, grief and burnout hit me hard - enough to say goodbye to the classroom. But what I realised was that my identity was so tightly wrapped up in my title as ‘Mrs Ward, the teacher.’

I felt so lost.

So I picked up my pencil and drew what I was feeling. Slowly, I began to draw things that inspired me. Through this process, I found myself again and rediscovered my love of illustrating. And guess what, the more I drew, the more I smiled. (yay!)

So now I spend my hours with a paintbrush in my hand, drawing magical moments and turning them into precious, illustrated keepsakes.
